This Park Hill home is 8,700 square feet of new construction to replace an existing home that was destroyed by fire. The architectural firm designed the flow of the house to suit the owners’ living and entertaining needs and created a home that and took advantage of the property’s long northwest views.  The structure is anchored by a double height gallery space which serves as a visual axis between the front entry and backyard views. The single family residence includes four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, two living rooms and an office.

This Fairmount condominium is 3,200 square feet and is part of the renovation of an existing, 1925 building: The College Avenue Baptist Church Annex. The architects’ design intent for this endeavour was to save the important architectural features such as warehouse steel windows, winding wood stairs, floors and rough masonry. The new features inserted were smooth, modern, and monolithic, creating an abstract mix between existing and new. The home includes two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, one living room and a roof deck patio.

This Ryan Place home is 1,850 square feet of new construction. The design is an example of modernly-detailed infill construction that respects the context of an established neighbourhood. The architect utilized simple materials such as waxed concrete floors, subway tiles, and monochromatic drywall to create a spec home for a known client on a given budget. Behind this project there is a unique story of an architect bringing more than just design to a project. The home includes three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and one living room.

This Tanglewood design is an 820 square foot secondary structure to an existing, single family home. The architect responded to the clients’ needs for additional living, performing and recreational spaces by creating two ipe clad volumes within a new Japanese inspired garden.  Every detail of this project is meticulously designed, coordinated and constructed from the retractable bed to the custom lighting to the memorialized tree location in the wood floor. The design features one bedroom, one bathroom and a living room.
