Door Hardware Specialist & Architectural Materials/Administrative Support

Currently we are accepting resumes for a Door Hardware Specialist.  A good candidate for this position will specialize in selecting and specifying door hardware that meets the client’s needs for security, function, aesthetics, and cost, while complying with the most current regulatory requirements relating to fire/life safety and accessibility issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Detailed review of hardware sets for coordination with documents and project requirements
  • Document field survey requirements for renovations and security upgrade projects
  • Attend access control coordination meetings
  • Review egress, life safety, ADA and fire rating requirements
  • Create complete hardware specifications for all Huckabee projects
  • Run access control meetings ensuring coordination between all related trades
  • Select product types, finishes, and function based on use and design requirements
  • Develop access control and security requirements
  • Review door schedules and floor plans to create a comprehensive hardware specification

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have considerable knowledge in Architectural hardware (especially Doors and Access control related) for use in educational buildings
  • Individual must have excellent organization and communication skills
  • Applicant must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and collaboratively
  • A current working knowledge of national, state, and local building codes as well as technical familiarity with hardware manufacturers’ most current products
  • Must be familiar with reviewing and finalizing master door schedule, hardware materials, finishes, access control, local building codes, and standards

Experience and education: Certifications Preferred (At least one)

  • AHC-Architectural Hardware Consultant
  • EHC- Electrified Hardware Consultant
  • CDC- Certified Door Consultant
  • AOC- Architectural Openings Consultant

Architectural Materials / Administrative Support

Currently, we are seeking an organized individual for the role of Architectural Materials / Administrative Support to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and organize the architectural materials and samples library through updates, filing, and general upkeep
  • Serve as primary contact to material representatives for product updates and presentations
  • Pull finishes and organize for project team use and review
  • Create material binders and boards under the supervision of Architectural and Interior Design staff
  • Maintain Fort Worth conference rooms ensuring rooms are organized, technology is working properly, and all writable surfaces are clean
  • Answer, screen, and act upon incoming phone calls as appropriate
  • Shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail
  • Paper and electronic filing system
  • Transmittals, meeting minutes, spreadsheet data entry and reports
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings utilizing Outlook calendars for conference rooms, Go-To Meetings, and Conference Bridge Line
  • Assist with preparation, setup/breakdown, and cleaning before and after office lunches, meetings, and events

  • MSOffice skills required and knowledge of general administrative protocols

Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work closely with a team of professionals, communicate clearly, and have a strong sense of urgency to complete a project within quality and project deadline constraints.
