Emerging Leaders Program
AIA Fort Worth is excited to offer the chapter’s first annual Leadership Program on a virtual platform at a highly subsidized rate.
The Emerging Leaders Program identifies, cultivates, and mentors young leaders in three areas of leadership: the firm, the profession, and our community. Originated 13 years ago through AIA Dallas, this year the program is being offered as a pilot virtual experience with AIA Dallas and AIA San Antonio. The program has more than 240 graduates and draws rave reviews through its curriculum that combines leadership discussions led by Peter DeLisle, PhD, Hon. TxA, the class-developed panels, and a class project benefiting the greater community.

Advanced Leadership Program
The next step after Emerging Leaders, ALP addresses topics such as leadership effectiveness, influencing in complex environments, conflict management, and decision-making. This program is designed for project and program managers leading teams and will help navigate the road to elevated leadership roles. Through engagement in the program, participants will develop a personal leadership development plan to directly address individual and group needs and substantially impact your organization. We are now accepting applications for the 2021 Advanced Leadership Program.
The submission deadline is noon, Monday, December 14th.
Enhance participants’ abilities in three areas of leadership: the firm, the profession, and the community; impacting the success and culture of their firms and the architectural community
All sessions will be held via Zoom in 2021.
FOUNDATIONS OF LEADERSHIP
These sessions will be led by Peter DeLisle, PhD, Hon TxA, focusing on leadership topics important to all levels. All leadership program participants will attend at the same time.
SPECIAL INTEREST TOPICS
These sessions will be offered by select outside experts on a variety of topics designed to broaden the perspective of the program participants.
These sessions will be offered to smaller groups based on the participant’s level of leadership skill/experience, facilitated by graduates of the Leadership Programs or other Component leader. Personal Reflection and Development activities completed outside class may contribute to these sessions.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE OR LEADERSHIP
Emerging Leaders Cohorts will select a community project to complete during the course of the program, working as a team. Advanced Leaders will select a community or firm project to complete individually during the course of the program.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The Foundations of Leadership sessions and the Special Interest Topics will offer continuing education units.
