BP is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Project Designer to work with our design team in our Dallas studio. Ideal candidates will have a passion and curiosity for architecture, a strong sense of good design and a commitment to sustainability. Passion for architecture and urban planning and curiosity for continuing to learn. Commitment to excellence in design, sustainability and community. Attention and appreciation to detail in crafting presentation materials and building systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of relevant work experience

• Professional Degree in Architecture

• Possess exceptional organizational skills and capable of simultaneously supporting multiple projects and priorities

• Advanced computer modeling, graphic and rendering skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, ArcGIS, Rendering software and Microsoft Office

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Research the history of project sites and their surrounding context along with appropriate project precedents.

• Work directly with design principal and other design staff to interpret and develop conceptual ideas and sketches into schematic design presentations for a wide variety of project types.

• Produce architectural renderings and illustrative building and site plans.

• Collaborate with other design professionals to interpret schematic designs in the construction document and construction phases of the projects.

• Research zoning and building codes, building systems, materials and site requirements.

• Present design and planning concepts to clients and other governing bodies.
