BIM Technician Level 2 – Utah and Texas Offices

GSBS Architects is an award-winning, inter-disciplinary design firm with a collaborative culture that supports career growth and advancement within the firm.

We have immediate openings, in our Salt Lake City and Ft. Worth Offices, for BIM technicians with 6+ years of experience. A bachelor’s or associate degree in design technology or related field is preferred but not required. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate proficiency as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities:

·       Produce building information models, independently, for projects of all size and complexity.

·       Produce detailed construction drawings, independently, for projects of all size and complexity.

·       Collaborate with project managers and designers to execute production plans and manage production teams for projects of moderate size and complexity.

·       Coordinate day-to-day BIM/production with project consultants. Attend BIM/production meetings and occasionally run the meetings.

·       Provide input to project managers and senior BIM technicians on project planning and staffing.

·       Develop comprehensive knowledge of GSBS standards, templates, families, and plug-ins.

·       Assist with updates to GSBS standards, templates and families.

·       Assist with development of internal technical education classes.

·       Mentor less experienced staff.

Competencies:

·       Thinks critically and creatively.

·       Organizes information and communicates clearly.

·       Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

·       Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam

·       Proficiency in Dynamo, Enscape, Sketchup, Rhino, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and profit-sharing bonuses. Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience. GSBS values in-person collaboration but gives employees the flexibility to work from non-office locations when needed and when coordinated with project, team, and firm needs.
