Fort Worth, TX – October 29, 2014 – BOKA Powell, a full-service architecture, planning and interior design firm with offices in Fort Worth, Dallas and Austin, has hired Mark H. Dabney, AIA, to lead its growing Fort Worth practice.
“We looked for a talented professional and community leader to guide our growth in Fort Worth in a genuine way,” said Chris Barnes, principal of BOKA Powell. “We are pleased to welcome Mark to our team and are excited to integrate him into each effort we have underway in Tarrant County – with much more to come.”
A life-long Fort Worth resident, Dabney brings more than 25 years of architecture and interior design experience to his new role as Associate Principal. His expertise includes notable projects like Tarrant County College District’s Trinity River East Campus, the Museum of Living Art at the Fort Worth Zoo, Phases II and III of the West 7th Development, and Sundance Square Plaza.
BOKA Powell’s current Fort Worth projects include the JPS Health Network’s Cath Lab expansion, Alliance Town Center Office North, and the renovation of the Hunter Plaza urban apartments.
Dabney most recently served as director of PBK’s Fort Worth office. He is president of the Leadership Fort Worth Board of Directors, and is a past president of the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Recognized for his outstanding leadership skills and professionalism, Dabney is the 2004 recipient of the Texas Society of Architects’ William Caudill Award for Young Professional Achievement, and the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects 1998 Young Professional of the Year. Dabney earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University.
