SteerFW’s primary mission is to foster civic engagement among emerging leaders in Fort Worth and broader Tarrant County. We’re here to be a resource and point of connection to help you understand the best ways to become involved in this city.
FWHCC
The Vision of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to participate and contribute in building a better Fort Worth through inclusion and strategic partnerships.
The FWHCC’s activities address each of the areas that we believe are the cornerstones of a productive, thriving business environment; economic activity, a thriving education system, civic engagement, diversity in leadership and quality business development.
AIA FW
The Vision of the AIA is to be a Vehicle for the celebration of architecture.
AIA Fort Worth, a Chapter of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), is a professional organization of architects from the North Texas counties of Comanche, Cooke, Eastland, Haskell, Hood, Jack, Honshon, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somerveil, Stephens, Tarrant, Throckmorton and Wise.
BRIDGE
Bridge is a black professional organization focused on bridging the gaps in leadership by connecting people, ideas and opportunities. Our mission is to bridge partnerships that accelerate black leadership in business and in the community.
Leadership Fort Worth
The mission of Leadership Fort Worth (LFW) is to educate, empower and connect diverse leaders for a vibrant, sustainable community. Founded in 1972, LFW is based on the concept of community trusteeship, which challenges leaders to commit themselves to making their communities better places to live. LFW serves the community through three adult leadership development programs, a program for eighth graders and a continuing education for all LFW alumni.

Tarrant Regional Water District
Usage Flood Control Project – Central City
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Central City Flood Control Project addresses Fort Worth's flood risks resulting from explosive population growth. The two main components are: the rerouting of a section of the Trinity River north of downtown and modifying a large park on the city's east side to better manage flood events.
Panther Island
The City of Fort Worth's Comprehensive Plan calls for greater density in districts close to downtown, including Panther Island. The district is impacted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flood control project; however, no federal money is being used to accomplish the City's sustainable growth goals for the district.

Thirteenth largest city in the US, 5th largest in Texas, Second fastest growing city, etc…. we could go on, but for now join us for an update on the Panther Island / Central City Flood Project. Including a walking tour of the almost completed section of Fort Worth’s own Riverwalk.
We’ll also be networking with other great local organizations diligently working for a better Fort Worth, whether it’s in economic development, diversity equity and inclusion, civic engagement or the built environment and architecture.
