This course focuses on the proper application of performance architectural lighting fixtures into educational facilities. Performance Architectural Interior Lighting fixtures (PAILs) have not traditionally been specified as the dominate fixture types on school projects but changes in school designs in recent times has expanded their use to a much greater degree. PAIL products must meet the same performance requirements as commodity products while simultaneously providing an aesthetically pleasing luminaire with visual comfort intended for direct viewing.
